Joe, Hereford & Worcester
Hi, I’m Joe, a Beaver Scout Leader with 1st Bromsgrove.
My journey in scouting began long before I officially joined. From a young age, I would assist in setting up camps, and I became a Beaver as soon as I turned 6. Over the years, I’ve advanced through all the scouting sections, and now, I proudly serve as a Beaver Scout Leader with 1st Bromsgrove.
I am also the Founder and Host of Tent Talks.
Philip, North Yorkshire
Hi, I’m Philip, a Cub Section Assistant.
My journey in scouting began long before I officially joined as a Beaver. Growing up in a family deeply involved in the Scouting Movement, I was surrounded by its values and activities from an early age. I joined Beavers as soon as I turned 6 and advanced through all the sections, eventually becoming a full adult leader. Along the way, I’ve gained confidence and developed many skills.
About Tent Talks
Tent Talks was founded in 2020, the podcast being my Skill for my DofE Silver. After completing my DofE I enjoyed what I had started so continued from there. The podcast now reaches a small but international audience, however I am still only just starting out. As the podcast grew, I developed a website, social media and more.
What do we do?
Tent talks is a place to share scouting stories, from a fun game you played on camp to a world scale fundraiser, the podcast aims to share achievements big and small as well as reporting footage and interviews from events such as Gilwell Reunion.
