Tent Talks

July 19 and almost Green

Following the roadmap of the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and consultation with the NYA, Scouts will be changing the rules from Today (July 19th).

HQ has allowed Section meetings to take place outdoors and indoors. Scouts have also announced Residential activities may take place.

  • Non-residential activities will have no limit on group size, but activities must be able to safely manage the risk of transmission of COVID and, if this is not possible, they must not take place. Outdoor activities are still encouraged and in poorly ventilated areas social distancing and face coverings are expected and recommended.
  • Residential activities may take place limited to a maximum of 6 people per sleeping area ie. tent or room. COVID measures such as well as good hygiene should remain in place, and LFT* is strongly recommended to take place immediately prior to departure and twice a week throughout the trip and on return for those age 11 and over.

* LFT = Lateral Flow Testing
